Jorn Micke
Jorn Micke is perhaps my favorite pipe maker in history. He spent most of his career on a small Island in the north of Denmark, and sold the vast majority of his pipes to Japan. The best smoking pipe I have ever owned was a seven-knuckle bamboo, Micke "Own" that I believe was one of his "wedding pipes." He and his wife did not exchange rings, but instead Jorn made matching pipes to commemorate the occasion.
